Tippi Hedren speaks about her support for Cahuenga Peak

People the world over come to this enticing, fascinating, glamorous part of the world just to feel a small part of it, to be able to say, "I've seen it! I've been there!" They make similar statements about other man created monuments, The Statue Of Liberty, The Eifel Tower, the Egyptian Pyramids, etc. Now Los Angeles may be deprived of this, our tribute to an industry unique on our planet (Hollywood).

So much of Hollywood history has been lost, destroyed, or torn down. Many of us are trying to repair, restore, and rebuild this magical area to retain what used to be.

The Hollywood sign stands on, at one time, protected ground atop the Hollywood Hills. The Cahuenga Peak, which is west of the Hollywood sign, is in danger of being sold to real estate developers. If this happens, the building of homes and other real estate would obliterate the view of the Hollywood sign. The Trust For Public Land has a unique opportunity to purchase this land to be included as part of Griffith Park to forever protect the view of the Hollywood sign. I will stand my ground and fight for every right to keep it visible in tribute to the great filmmakers and historically memorable films they created.

I implore you! Keep the Cahuenga Peak and Hollywood Sign safe from developers!
