I feel extremely fortunate to have been a member of the Hollywood community since my childhood. Everywhere in the world Hollywood inspires thoughts and feelings of beauty, opportunity and dreams. The Campaign to Save Cahuenga Peak, home of the precious Hollywood sign, is critical protection for a symbol that the world cherishes and celebrates.
The Hollywood Sign is a universal representation of the magic of our cinematic tradition and the romance of the film and entertainment communities. We must join together and protect the unspoiled view of the sign. The true jewel is not only the sign, but also the mountain itself, with its rare creatures and butterflies, its wild California beauty, and its spectacular and stoic profile.
Cahuenga Peak is a true oasis of nature in California, a diamond, a natural and timeless beauty that is our responsibility to save. We can save this land. We must save this land. We must keep this beauty protected and unspoiled. We are all temporary custodians of beauty and we must not relinquish the honor and trust that has been placed in our hands.
Please join me in supporting the Campaign to Save Cahuenga Peak.

Here's the first thing I thought of when I saw the idea of saving the sign: it's an iconic piece of history- a sort of pop art meets pop culture icon. What is you "sold" a piece of the sign- just a very small piece, to be left where it is, and the person who donates gets their name added to the space they donated to, written in white, so the integrity of the sign is preserved, but their is a permanent record of all those who felt strongly enough to save the sign? It would only visible up close, but if people went right up to the sign, there would be all the names of those who cared enough to donate?
Sounds brilliant to me...
