Beau Garrett in campaign to Save Hollywood Sign land

The value of open space in such close proximity to urban areas is immeasurable. This is an opportunity to create more land for public use and preserve islands of habitat for wildlife in an already shrinking landscape. If developed, we can never get this land back. It is our duty to protect these open spaces when the chance is given.

I am shocked at the price tag to fix the Hollywood sign. I would think that that money could really do some good by helping all the homeless you have in LA and surrounding areas.

The price would shock people, but the $12.5 M is NOT to fix the H Sign. The $12.5 M has nothing to do with the H Sign. It is to buy 138 acres on the ridge to the west and slightly behind Mt. Lee; it's called Cahuenga Peak. The H Sign is on Mt. Lee and not on the Cahuenga Peak. Showing the H Sign to raise money for Cahuenga Peak is misleading thousands of people and this deception should stop.
