For a few brief days, we watched as the big white letters of the Hollywood Sign transformed from the landmark that signaled, "You Are Here" to an urgent plea that signaled, "This Land is For sale."
While the "Save the Peak" letters are gone from the Hollywood Sign, the campaign continues. At risk? Cahuenga Peak's 138 acres of open space rising above a sea of development and offering Angelinos respite from relentless urbanity.
We have an opportunity to choose a different future for this remarkable landscape. Rather than allowing a pristine oasis to become subdivided into private estates, we can keep it green, add it to Griffith Park, and give future generations a magical mountain to explore. For the next 7 weeks, the eyes of the world will be watching the Hollywood sign. Let them also see the mountain behind it and support our effort to save for Los Angeles the beauty it deserves.
Please Help us Save the Peak!
